10 Amazon Subscriptions You Need
Congratulations! You're about to embark on an incredible journey known as maternity leave (or you may already be on it or possibly just looking for ways to save money for your family). While this period is filled with joy and anticipation, it can also bring financial concerns as your income may be temporarily reduced or non existent so each dollar should be spent wisely.
Luckily, in today's digital age, Amazon offers a range of subscription services that can help you save money without compromising on convenience or quality. In this blog post, we'll explore ten Amazon subscriptions that could really help your family.
The most important aspect of saving money can be buying in bulk, you almost always get a better deal when you buy lots in one go, if you have the space to store large amounts then that is great, if not, you may have to opt for smaller quantities. Either way, my only advice is to stick to things that don't perish if you are stocking up to make the most of your money. Think of things like paper goods, tooth paste, anything that can be stored in a cupboard really.
1. Starting with the essential subscription, Amazon Prime which is now $10 a month, offers an array of benefits, including free and fast delivery on eligible items (almost all items are included in free delivery and they sometimes even come on the weekend which can be such a life saver if you need something quickly), access to streaming services like Prime Video, and exclusive deals. Take advantage of the convenience it provides by ordering baby essentials, household items, and even self-care products, all delivered right to your doorstep. Once you have the prime membership then head over to the subscribe and save page to browse the available items.
The double roll means less toilet paper changes, the cost means you're paying way less than you would in Woolworths or Coles and it's delivered to your door so you don't have to try to fit another huge item in the trolley or pram basket.
3. Elevit Breastfeeding Supplements
4. Tissues
For all of those emotional days when you just stare at your baby and bawl your eyes out... please know this is totally normal! have the tissues on hand for these moments! or the below.....
5. Nappies
You will be going through nappies like nobodies business, getting them as cheap as possible can be such a great way to save money as the volume is so high. I love the huggies nappies for newborns and have used them for years. This is another one of those purchases that can be so hard to fit in a pram basket, so having them delivered to your door is a life saver!
6. Baby Wipes
My favourites are these Tooshies wipes, anything to keep the chemicals away from babies sensitive areas.
7. Kleenex Flushable Fresh Wipes
Fresh wipes are probably one of those things that are needed when you start toilet training but are also very handy to have for any poo explosions or general baby messes mainly because they can go in the toilet. Typical baby wipes are great but you can't flush them so any mess you clean up needs to go in the bin so for me, I prefer to put my babies mess in the toilet.
You could even get a wipe caddy like this to store them in.
I love OMO, I seem to have figured out the important ingredient to make it work well, always hang babies clothes, after they are washed, in the direct sunshine and any stains will disappear!
It's the one you can choose what size it needs to be with the extra perforation panels. Paper towel will be your best friend if you have a baby who likes to spit up lots or the day you start your baby on solids. It's amazing how messy they get!!!
10. Glad Bin Bags
This might seem like a strange idea but do yourself a favour and get yourself one of these Ubbi Pail nappy bins so that you can use any old plastic bags in it. Those nappy pails that have proprietary liner situations can add up so much and I've even seen people have their bin liners discontinued. The Ubbi pail is great as you can use it for reuseable nappies too with their fabric liner packs.
Well I hope this has given you some ideas for how you might be able to save some money with the use of subscription services on Amazon.
Happy Maternity leave!!
