Hello! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Nicole, a wife and mama living on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Becoming a mother in 2019 to little Abigail was the inspiration behind the brand Tuckered Out. Having a baby of my own made me quickly realise how important sleep is for babies and the value of using products that are conducive to a peaceful and safe bedtime.

I struggled with Abigail’s sleep for the first few months, which led me to many hours spent researching the science of sleep and sleep training. I wanted to guide her with a gentle approach that made sense to me as well. I soon discovered the concept of positive sleep associations, which are defined as something that doesn’t require a parent to be able to provide when they wake. This can include white noise, a dark room and sleeping bag, which all promote the same notion of ‘it’s time to sleep’. Ultimately this is what led me to my passion of creating beautiful sleeping bags for little ones.

When it came to designing the sleeping bags, every small detail was considered. A bamboo/linen blend was chosen for the material, as it’s both breathable and super soft. Only the best for your little babe! The shape of the sleeping bag is wide at the end to allow for proper hip placement and movement whilst sleeping. The zips were carefully selected for their quietness when opening and closing. In addition, a two-way zipper features at both the side and bottom to allow for quick nappy changes during the night. Little Abigail was the product tester for my designs – I’m happy to report she has been sleeping soundly ever since!

The name Tuckered Out came from my husband (who has great ideas!). One day I asked him what he would call a baby sleep related brand. His first and only response was ‘Tuckered Out’ and I was immediately in love. And now here we are!
